Ok, so I know this is a long posting but I think it will be very helpful to anyone who is considering spending their hard earned money on any Luminox products. My first Luminox watch I bought was about 3 years ago. Don't remember what model it was but it was a stainless band dive style watch. A little more pricey then the rubber band watches. Paid about $400 if my memory serves me correctly. After less then a year, the watch began stopping and starting intermediately. I brought it to a jewelry in New Orleans who sells and repairs Luminox watches. He told me that it wasn't surprising to him because Luminox was famous for having bad contacts. He literally took the huge black faced Luminox off his wrist and showed me on his own watch what he does when his stopped working. Pull the crown out, move the hands just a little bit up and down, then screw the crown back in he said. Anyway, I did that for a couple of months and thought, to *** with this. I brought it back and had him order me a whole

new movement for $80.00. Well, a few weeks later, I get a call from the guy telling me that when he opened my watch he noticed that was missing an internal ring that keeps the movement from shaking around in the watch. I told him it was relatively new and was never once opened by anyone but him. He told me he was going to contact Luminox to have another plastic ring sent to him to put it in my watch. He said it would be very cheap and maybe cost me nothing if Luminox sent it for free since they forgot to put it in originally. Completely disgusted, I left the store. 3 weeks later I get a call from the jeweler saying they are refusing to send the ring. They want me to pay to ship it to them, pay for the ring, pay for them to put it in, and pay to ship it back. Or, just pay him the $80.00, put the new movement in, and let it work till it dies. I chose option 2 because sending it back to Luminox would have been around $200 I assumed because it still needed a new movement. I got another 6 or 7 months out of the watch and it died again. I wrote a very in depth email to Luminoxs' customer service department telling them my experience with their product in hopes that they may rectify all this. I got no response. Later in the week I resent the same email back to them. Received nothing. I added a few choice words and sent it a 3rd time. I then received an email back from them saying there's nothing they would do unless I wanted to send it to them and pay for them to fix it. NO THANKS! In the trash it went. The sad thing is that I really like these watches. I like the look, the glow in dark factor, and the weight of them. But this one was a dud. While browsing the net looking for different glow dive watches, I saw the Luminox 3152. I went to a Luminox dealer in New Orleans and looked at one and put it on. I loved the look and feel and size. I went home and convinced myself that the 1st one I had was a dud or a defect. So after a few more days of convincing, I purchased a 3152 from Amazon. The exact day was March 4th. Got the watch a couple days later and fell in love with it and got tons of compliments on it. Unfortunately, 2 days ago on August 16th, roughly 5 months later, surprise surprise, I looked down, and nothing was moving. Immediately stopped at a different jeweler this time thinking it had to just be a dead battery. As soon as he opened it up, a tiny thin piece of metal fell out. It's the thin piece of metal the slides back and fourth. The one that holds the battery in place but it's also the contact that touches the top, or positive side of the battery. The guy said "that's your problem, the battery is fine". The master watchmaker will be in on Tuesday to look at it to see if there's anything he can do to fix it. It looks like the screw that holds it in place is broken off in the movement of the watch. If he can't fix it, it will have to go back to Luminox; and guess what, they won't warranty it because I bought it online. Just to make one thing perfectly clear, have never dropped or abused either of my Luminox watches I had. On the contrary, I always get made fun of for babying everything I own. I hope this helps. It's my experience with Luminox. Bottom line, customer service is horrible, and their products are not worth the kind of money they are asking. I have several way less expensive watches that are 20 yrs or more older and still work perfectly with a new battery every 5 years or so.

Thanks
